We celebrate believer’s baptism at West End. This means anyone who has put their faith in Christ is invited to participate. You don’t have to be a member of West End to be baptized, and you don’t have to be baptized to be a member. This is the perfect time to take the next step in your faith journey and join many others who will be baptized as well.
You can register for our next baptism and find out what scripture says about it by attending one of our baptism conversations.
Sunday, February 16th during both services.
What does West End believe about Baptism?
The Bible teaches that baptism is the first step of obedience after making a commitment to Christ. It is not only something Jesus did, but something that He asks all believers to do. When we go under the water it pictures how our sins are buried with Christ, and as we come up it symbolizes how we can now walk in the new life God has for us through our faith in Him. You also may want to be baptized to express a renewed commitment to Christ.
